Being multi-modal

Being "multi-modal" simply means travelling using a combination of different forms of transport to reach your destination.

Studies have shown that travelling by public transport rather than driving improves fitness as this often involves some physical activity. By walking or cycling to stations, you can save time and stay healthier. Journeys from Bus, Subway and Train stations are convenient to combine with cycling with sheltered cycle parking available.

Traveline Scotland's journey planner can help you walk for part of your journeys and Cycle Streets journey planner can help you reach your bus stop or station efficiently.

Visit Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) to learn more about the Zone Card which makes it easier for you to make hassle free journey across different types of public transport.
