Council by-elections

There will be two by-elections to be held for the return of a COUNCILLOR for Glasgow City Council on Thursday 20 March for the following Wards:

Ward 8 - Southside Central

Ward 21 - North East

The deadline to register to vote for these elections is Tuesday 4 March 2025 (midnight). 

The deadline to apply for a postal vote for this election is 5pm Wednesday 5 March 2025. 

The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm Wednesday 12 March 2025. 

The deadline to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote is 5pm Wednesday 5 March 2025.

New applications for a postal or proxy vote for this election can only be made by completing a paper application form.
