North East Recovery Community (NERC)

North East Recovery Community (NERC) is a peer led charity that provides a variety of recovery initiatives in Glasgow, with the aim of promoting and assisting recovery from addiction to alcohol and drugs. NERC is run by a fantastic team of volunteers all who have come through their own unique recovery journey.

North East Recovery Community has six recovery cafes situated across the North East of Glasgow. Each cafe is run by their dedicated team of volunteers and offer individuals recovering from addiction and their family a safe and friendly environment to meet.

All cafes run various groups and complimentary therapies such as Recovery Meetings, Cocaine Anonymous (CA) meetings and Acu-Detox.

Everyone is welcome to pop along to the recovery cafes and meet the volunteers and get peer led advice and support as well as some lunch and a cup of tea.

North West Recovery Communities (NWRC)

Recovery is Possible

North West Recovery Communities is a community led partnership of people and services who are passionate about promoting recovery from Alcohol and Drugs. The partnership delivers a range of opportunities for people to be exposed to 'Recovery is Possible' through a range of different activities, discussions, groups, drop in sessions and social events that take place in a range of community venues across North West.

These are organised, led and delivered by local people in recovery, their families, supporters and a range of staff from local services who work in partnership with the recovery communities networks. The approach is informed by a Recovery Orientated System of Care (ROSC), a model that values the contributions of all, recognises the vital role of personal and community assets and believes that recovery is achievable for all who seek it.

NWRC are based at 80 St Vincent Terrace, Glasgow, G3 8DX

South Community Recovery Network (SCRN)

Routes to Recovery

The South Recovery Community Network (SCRN) offers a range of services and activities that are delivered by volunteers in recovery from problematic substance use. There are two distinct elements of SCRN.  Firstly, the practical peer-led activities and emotional supports they provide for people in recovery and secondly, the pathway of development in place for people in recovery to progress into employment, education, and training. These two elements are enveloped by the networks and partnerships they have and the collaborations and initiatives created.

Their activities are created, developed, and delivered by people in recovery. The network provides support to people 7 days a week. Whilst this is not specifically core hours, their volunteers wanted to highlight that continued recovery support takes place across the network after core hours and mutual support is provided across SCRN participants and volunteers.

SCRN are based at The Adelphi Centre, 12 Commercial Road, Gorbals, G5 0PQ
