City Development Plan for Glasgow moves to crucial stage
Published: 5 October 2016
Glasgow City Council's Executive Committee today (5 October) approved the revised City Development Plan and it will now be submitted to Scottish Ministers to progress towards its adoption.
The City Development Plan is an extremely important document for Glasgow as it provides a strategy for the efficient use of land and the provision of vital infrastructure over the next decade. Future planning applications will be considered using policies in the Plan, and investors in the private and public sectors will be aware of where development and regeneration will take place in Glasgow through the Plan.
Throughout the consultation period of the Plan, over 4,000 comments were made, and now the preparation of the Plan is coming to its final stages. Three Scottish Government Reporters have examined the Plan over the past year and their report can be read here.
