How to apply for an Occasional Licence
An occasional licence is issued under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 to allow unlicensed premises to sell alcohol for a period of no more than 14 days.
A licensed private members club can also apply for an occasional licence if they intend to provide a function or event that is open to non-members.

The application will not be accepted without the correct fee.
Applications can be lodged online and preferred payment should be made by BACS Transfer (electronic banking) to the Licensing Board Account.

Please note that your application will not be formally lodged until payment has been received. The fees are non-refundable.
In terms of Regulation 18 of the Licensing (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2007, the licensing board is required to give notice for a period of 7 days of any applications received for occasional licence.
During this 7 day period any individual can object to the application.
