M8 off slip onto St George's Road to close for four weeks
Motorists are being urged to plan their journey ahead of the temporary closure of an M8 off slip in Glasgow.
The eastbound M8 slip road at junction 18 onto St George's Rd will be closed for four weeks from Monday 12 May 2025 (from 4am) for the installation of upgraded traffic signals.
The improved infrastructure is being delivered as part of Glasgow City Council's Connecting Woodside active travel project.
Drivers will be able to exit the M8 motorway at junction 18 and divert onto the A82 Great Western Road, Park Road, and Woodlands Road.
The M8 off slip onto St George's Road is expected to re-open (at 5pm) on Monday 9 June 2025.

Connecting Woodside
Connecting Woodside is creating a safer and more attractive environment for walking wheeling and cycling. The project complements other active travel initiatives in the area and will connect local neighbourhoods with Sauchiehall Street, the Forth and Clyde Canal and regeneration areas in north Glasgow.
Following a recent redesign of the main junction at Charing Cross to make it easier and safer for pedestrians and cyclists to use, the latest phase of Connecting Woodside is focused on St George's Road next to the St George's Studios area.
The project is being delivered by Glasgow City Council, with funding support from the Scottish Government through Sustrans Scotland's, Places for Everyone programme and Transport Scotland's Active Travel Infrastructure Fund.
