Residential Services

Anyone in Glasgow City needing support with an alcohol or drug problem can access a wide range of Residential options which best support their individual recovery journey through the Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (GADRS). You can self-refer to GADRS via phone or in-person.

Crossreach Residential Recovery Service 

Crossreach is an abstinence based residential service. The service offers structured group work programmes and one to one support within a residential setting. If a detox is required, this will be discussed and facilitated as part of the care plan.

There are up to 16 beds available with stays of up to 12 weeks.

Phoenix Futures Residential Service

The service offers structured group work programmes and one to one support within a residential setting using the 'Therapeutic Community' model of support. If a detox is required, this will be discussed and facilitated as part of the care plan and can be offered within the service when appropriate.

There are up to 31 beds available offering stays of a minimum of 12 weeks.

Turning Point Scotland Stabilisation Service 

The service provides 24-hour support from social care and nursing staff and visiting medical officer and other visiting health professionals.

The service is designed to support people to stabilise their drug and alcohol use by detoxing from non-prescribed substances or alcohol and stabilising on appropriate Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). 

It also offers health and social care support including one to one, groupwork programme, linkage with community services both in-reach and outreach format.

There are up to 16 beds available for stays of up to 6 weeks.

Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Crisis Service (Turning Point Scotland) 

The service provides 24-hour support from social care and nursing staff and medical officer and other visiting health professionals.

The service will detox the service user from alcohol and illicit substances and stabilise them on their MAT of choice. 24-hour nursing staff allows a health assessment and appropriate interventions i.e. blood borne virus (BBV) testing and a social program of one to one and educational group support.

There are up to 20 beds available for stays of up to 21 days.
