Those taking part in the online consultation will inform the final Local Development Framework (LDF) for Drumchapel, a document which will recommend coordinated short, medium and long-term activity to deliver the area's future development and regeneration.

Some examples of the development types the LDF considers include housing, facilities, shops, public spaces, transport infrastructure, parks and play areas.

Information from engagement with the local community from late 2021 until the autumn of 2022 assisted in the development of the current draft Drumchapel LDF.  The final version of the LDF will help address regeneration challenges and allow development opportunities in the area to be taken.

Information on the draft LDF and how to take part in the consultation is available here.  The consultation will run until 5 September, and paper copies of the consultation and survey are available at Drumchapel Library.

Councillor Susan Aitken, Leader of Glasgow City Council, said: "The Drumchapel Local Development Framework will give a long-term vision for the area, one that is best created with the input of local people and organisations. So we would ask everyone living, working, or with a stake in the area to take part in this consultation, which will guide how Drumchapel develops in future years and decades."

Approved LDFs provide spatial supplementary guidance to the Glasgow City Development Plan.
