New Road Adoptions
The Council is responsible for maintaining the Statutory List of Public Roads and can consider new adoption of roads to be added to the public network. Road adoptions may be for new roads being built or the adoption of an existing part of the network that is privately owned.
The Council inspects new road developments before, during and after the construction process to ensure that they are built to a safe and serviceable standard.
