Richmond Park

Richmond Park was opened in 1899 and is approximately 12 hectares in size.

Where is it?

What Can I do there?

  • Football pitch and games area
  • Pond
  • Play areas (in the new south part of the park)
  • Includes city "core path" and National Route 75
  • Bird watching in the nature pond heronry, kingfisher, otter, swans, summer and winter migrants
  • Model boating. The RPMBC club meets every Wednesday and Sunday and celebrated their 40th anniversary this year 2024.
  • Follow or join the Friends of Richmond Park, Glasgow and participate in their events program.
  • Please do not feed the swan white bread as it causes pink feather which affects their immune system and waterproofing meaning they cannot swim or feed properly and even die of hunger or the cold.

When is it open?

Why not visit Glasgow Green or the new extension to Richmond Park at Richmond Park Terrace.
