Greater Pollok Local Development Framework

The City Development Plan proposed three Local Development Frameworks (LDF) to coordinate planning change in city communities where an additional layer of development guidance would be helpful. Greater Pollok is one of the three areas identified.

The LDF for Greater Pollok sets out:-

• A Vision for the area to become a flourishing, sustainable, more liveable and socially inclusive community by 2035. 
• A Spatial Design Strategy which sets out guidance to support planning initiatives and projects, inform design of proposals and assist in determining planning applications
• An Action Programme to progress a range of planning initiatives

Consultation

The Council consulted the public and other key stakeholders on the Draft Greater Pollok LDF over a 10-week period between the 21 November 2023 through to the 5 February 2024.

Status

In accordance with Section 8(1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, following screening, the Council has determined that Strategic Environmental Assessment will not be required for the Greater Pollok LDF. Please refer to the Screening Determination Letter and the Screening Report to view further information on this matter.

Following Consultation and the Determination, the Council adopted the Greater Pollok Local Development Framework as Supplementary Guidance to the City Development Plan on 5 March 2025.
